As an employee we have different types of rights that are based on the law. This is very good to recognize and keep in mind if having any mistreatment at your workplace. There are three categories which concerns employee itself. First statutory rights and this for example includes safe work conditions that everyone is entitled to. Secondly contractual rights, meaning that you should have your employment contract achievable, and employee can always appeal to the contract if employer i.e., tries to expand your duties at work without any extra allowance. Last category is including all other rights that employees should have, like privacy for instance (Mejia Gomez, 2016.) Of course, employers also have their rights and by them they are trying to secure the businesses. One example that comes to my mind is probation for the employment.
